About Me

     Hi, I am a self-published author and write under the pen name of E.S. Hart, D.S. Heart, and Pearly Gates.  The reason I write under a pen name is explained in one of my blogger articles on a blog that I write called "The Struggling Indie Author": "Pen Names:  Are They a Good Idea".  

     Ever since I was in the 3rd Grade I found a love for writing and storytelling.  I think there is nothing better than writing and reading a good story.  I generally read romance and science fiction fantasy type books.  

     I decided to write a blog called "The Struggling Indie Author" because when I self-published my first book back in 2012' it involved a whole lot of learning.  As I started to participate in Facebook Groups and a few forums I could see the need for writing such a blog.  There are many new writers who want to get published but just don't know where to begin.  I hope with writing this blog that they can find some of the information that they seek to help them on their journey to getting published one day.

     The one thing I love about the Internet is being able to connect with people throughout the world all seeking the same goal of writing and sharing their work through books with readers who just want to read a good story.
